Our Story

Grace started with a couple of people meeting in the living room of an apartment and imagining God’s work through a new church in Worcester. Since those early days, we’ve seen our Savior draw together a diverse church where people have been transformed by the life-giving message of Jesus Christ that provides identity, purpose, community, and eternal hope. There’s a place for you here, too!

The short way we describe ourselves is:

We are a cross-cultural and intergenerational church, rooted in Christ and here to advance His influence in Worcester and throughout the world.

This description reflects our foundations:

Cross-cultural and Intergenerational

Friendship: In the Christian church, a new relational world emerges through a common savior, as the Holy Spirit unites a diverse group of people to reflect, experience, and display God’s love. We pursue this biblical vision by adapting our ministry practices to be welcoming to believers from different generations and cultures and, in so doing…

Rooted in Christ

Experiencing Grace: Through Jesus Christ, God reconciles people to himself and sets in motion the restoration of all things. This good news is both the point of entry and the strength for the Christian life.

As Whole Persons: Jesus’ work of renewal begins at the center and touches every part of who we are. Though we are marked by sin and sorrow, God’s grace makes the broken whole.

Advancing Jesus’ Influence

Outward: Jesus’ generous love creates a community that looks beyond its own interests. We proclaim Jesus’ message of peace with God and demonstrate his mercy.

The City: God has called us to Worcester. Rather than building a reputation or name for ourselves, we work to bring God’s love to this city and we partner with many to pray and work for its peace and prosperity.

Multiplication: Following Jesus’ example, we embrace a developmental mindset: training, releasing, and supporting people and ministries to serve Worcester and pursue God’s renewing work in and around this world.
